Giant Microbes!
April 23, 2010
Have you ever thought that your stuffed toys weren’t gross or scientific enough?
GiantMicrobes will be happy to sell you a pimple, E. Coli, rabies, or HPV. Need a gift for an ex? How about scum?
So, when I heard that GiantMicrobes sold Giant Brain Cells, I asked the company for a donation to use as a spelling bee prize. Here is the Giant Brain Cell some lucky winner will take home in June!

This was a little obvious:

When I received the shipping email from GiantMicrobes, I saw that I was also being sent a Giant Salmonella. I emailed the person I’d been speaking to at the company, and she said she just thought we could use it in some way. So, salmonella! It’s kind of cute.

Mmmn, tastes like raw chicken!

Thanks to GiantMicrobes for the prizes. If only I had gotten an ovum when I was an egg donor! Then I could’ve also been an egg recipient!
